The Cabinet of Ministers introduced the so-called adaptive quarantine in Ukraine from May 22 to June 22. Also, the second stage of restriction phasing out will begin on May 22.
Members of the government supported the proposal of the Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov and adopted a decision at the meeting on May 20.
"The project proposes to establish quarantine in Ukraine from May 22, 2020 to June 22, 2020, taking into account the epidemic situation in the regions. This is the so-called adaptive quarantine, which we talked about," – the head of the Ministry of Health said.
The regions of Ukraine, where in the last 7 days there have been on average less than 12 new cases of COVID-19 per 100 thousand population, the average number of PCR and ELISA tests is more than 12, and the occupancy of beds in hospitals where patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, is less than 50%, can relax anti-epidemic restrictions and gradually restore transport operation:
- from May 22 – regular and irregular passenger transportation by road in urban, suburban, intra-regional and international traffic;
- from May 25 – transportation of passengers in the subway;
- from June 1 – railway passenger transportation in urban, regional, long-distance domestic and interregional communication;
- from June 1 – interregional passenger transportation by road
- from June 15 – passenger transportation by air.
Mandatory safety requirements remain the same – mask wearing, temperature screening, regular disinfection of vehicles.
