166 Transcarpathians have recovered
Over the past 24 hours, 27 people have been confirmed to have coronavirus, in total since the beginning of the pandemic, 885 Transcarpathians have been diagnosed with COVID-19, including 201 doctors and 57 children.
24 people with confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 have died
As of the morning of May 17, 7011 PCR tests for COVID-19 have been conducted in the region, 359 over the past 24 hours.
As of the morning of May 17, 329 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine".
10 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours. 73 coronavirus patients are health care workers.
64 people have recovered
6 persons have died.
4 Uzhgorod citizens are in self-isolation
In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have made 35 visits, 97 samples of biological materials have been collected for polymerase chain reaction test. In total, since the onset of the disease, 311 visits have been made, 1325 samples of biological materials have been collected for PCR tests.

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on May 17, there have been 18291 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 514 were fatal, 5116 patients have recovered. During the day, 433 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:

Kyiv region – 1197 cases;
Lviv region – 1019 cases;
Luhansk region – 42 cases;
Mykolaiv region – 238 cases;
Odesa region – 746 cases;
Poltava region – 264 cases;
Rivne region – 1126 cases;
Sumy region – 162 cases;
Ternopil region – 1078 cases;
Kharkiv region – 786 cases;
Kherson region – 167 cases;
Khmelnytsky region – 253 cases;
Chernivtsi region – 2694 cases;
Cherkasy region – 372 cases;
Chernihiv region – 108 cases.
The tests were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of the morning of May 17, 2020, the Center has received 631 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases.
