Latest information on COVID-19 in Ukraine and Transcarpathia

"During the past day, April 28, 355 people sought emergency medical care, 12 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 8 were suspected of having COVID-19" – the director of the Health Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov said.

117 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected. 16 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, 7 of them are medical workers. 12 people with signs of acute respiratory infection and 8 persons suspected of having COVID-19, including 6 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 were hospitalized in health care institutions over the past day. Overall, as of 9:00 am on April 29, 2020, 403 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 103 are health care workers and 17 are children. 2287 polymerase chain reaction tests have been carried out.

 ✅No fatal cases among patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have been reported in the past 24 hours. 43 people have recovered

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on April 29, there have been 9866 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 250 were fatal, 1103 patients have recovered. During the day, 456 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in: 
Vinnytsia region – 412 cases; 
Volyn region – 271 cases; 
Dnipropetrovsk region – 323 cases; 
Donetsk region – 52 cases; 
Zhytomyr region – 357 cases; 
Transcarpathian region – 403 cases; 
Zaporizhzhya region – 228 cases; 
Ivano-Frankivsk region – 821 cases; 
Kirovohrad region – 377 cases; 
Kyiv – 1341 cases; 
Kyiv region – 643 cases; 
Lviv region – 405 cases; 
Luhansk region – 33 cases; 
Mykolaiv region – 116 cases; 
Odesa region – 261 cases; 
Poltava region – 188 cases; 
Rivne region – 588 cases; 
Sumy region – 98 cases; 
Ternopil region – 708 cases; 
Kharkiv region – 237 cases; 
Kherson region – 111 cases; 
Khmelnytsky region – 81 cases; 
Chernivtsi region – 1489 cases; 
Cherkasy region – 282 cases; 
Chernihiv region – 41 cases. 
The tests were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of the morning of April 29, 2020, the Center has received 1230 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases.
