In the center of Uzhgorod, at night, a man was breaking everything around and tried to escape from the police down the river (VIDEO)

During the escape, the offender jumped off the bridge into the river and, despite the injuries sustained as a result of the fall, tried to flee downstream.

This was reported by the patrol police of Transcarpathian region .

Patrol policemen received reports of inappropriate behavior of a man on Shvabska street in Uzhgorod at about 2 am. According to the applicant, a man with a shovel was damaging the shop windows and cars nearby.

Inspectors found the offender on Petofi Square. Noticing the patrol policemen, the man began to act aggressively and ran toward the pedestrian bridge near Tetralna Square.

During the escape, the offender jumped off the bridge into the river and, despite the injuries sustained as a result of the fall, tried to flee downstream. The patrol policemen called an ambulance and rescuers. The man threatened and hurled stones at patrol police officers and rescuers. They managed to pull him out of the river and detained him. He was then taken to a medical facility for treatment.

The man’s action are considered a crime. Preliminary classification is Part 1 of Article 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code.
