The police caught a Mukachevo woman, who was selling non-existent masks online

Yesterday, April 8, investigators of the Mukachevo Police Department indicted a 25-year-old resident of Mukachevo who had cheated a Lviv resident. Given the increased demand for means of personal protection due to the current situation in the country, the Transcarpathian established a system of sales of masks and antiseptics in social network. The woman offered the products at below market price, which attracted the attention of the victim. The Lviv woman ordered from the Mukachevo resident protective masks and transferred the agreed amount to a bank card. After receiving the payment, the latter stopped answering to messages and deleted her account from the social network. The victim reported it to the police. The case was investigated by the cyber police. Together with the Mukachevo investigators, they tracked down the suspected fraudster and found out that the woman, under a fake name on the social network, was offering to buy masks and disinfectants. After receiving the payment, the woman would stop answering calls and messages. Currently, the number of victims is being established. The Transcarpathian’s actions are classified under Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is fraud.
