Today, on March 17, from 9:00, at the crossing point "Vysne Nemecke – Uzhgorod", the Slovak party began clearing the citizens of Ukraine travelling on foot.
Border guards on the red line carry out temperature screening and identification of persons, then citizens board a bus, pass passport and customs control and follow outside the border crossing point.
The procedure takes 15-20 minutes.
According to the adjoining party, pedestrians will be allowed to cross the border until 7 pm on March 22, 2020.
Nearly 300 citizens are now awaiting evacuation.
Citizens are transported only outside the border crossing point.
Transportation is carried out by 3 buses, another 1 is expected.
Currently, nearly 100 people have been evacuated.
