Coronavirus situation in Transcarpathia was discussed at a briefing in the RSA

During the briefing, the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Hetmanenko noted that no cases of coronavirus disease have been reported in Transcarpathia.
He also asked employers to consider having their employees, in particular, elderly people, work from home, or, if possible, giving them leave.
“As for the situation with medical institutions, there are 22 hospitals with infectious diseases wards in the region. It has been decided to allocate money from the reserve fund to purchase everything necessary for hospitals. There are 174 devices for lung ventilation in the region,” – Oleksiy Hetmanenko summarized.
The Acting Head of the Transcarpathian Customs Office of the State Customs Service Viktor Ivanus noted that freight transportation is being carried out in normal mode, both by motor vehicles and by rail.
The Director of the Health Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov said that the Ministry of Health had issued a new order on provisions for ICUs.
Many citizens are now returning home, and it is important that each of them can prevent the coronavirus from spreading by taking necessary measures on their own. Yelizaveta Birov stressed on the importance of the observance of self-isolation rules.
