Within the framework of the project "Carpathian Bee", a demonstration apiary will be opened in Kolochava village and a tourist route "Kolochava Honey Trails" will be developed
The project is aimed at developing holistic approaches to the conservation of the native, Carpathian bee, along with the old traditions of beekeeping. The press service of the Synevyr National Park informed about it on its Facebook page.
The main results of the project will be cross-border activities aimed at popularizing the natural heritage (honey festival in Kolochava, final conference in Kosovo, workshop in Rzeszow), – Vasyl Khudynets, the administrative and financial manager of the project said.
The Kolochava Village Council has already begun preparations for the activities that will take place this year under the project. Those are the Carpathian Honey Festival in Kolochava, which will take place in July, the organization of scientific monitoring expeditions to high mountain apiaries and the establishment of a permanent open air exhibition.
In addition, hiking trails are being developed, including the Kolochava Honey Trails, which will pass through the local apiaries of the village of Kolochava.
The route will be marked in the tourist map in three languages: English, Ukrainian and Polish. The map will be available online on partner websites and social networks, and will be distributed during project events.
