The first case of coronavirus infection in a Ukrainian

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirmed that a Ukrainian on the Diamond Princess cruise ship has contracted a coronavirus

The Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that there is one Ukrainian among the 6 passengers of the Diamond Princess ship who contracted the Chinese coronavirus on February 9.
“There is one infected citizen of Ukraine who was on the cruise ship off the coast of Japan. He has been identifed and hospitalized. His condition is satisfactory. He is keeping in touch. The situation is under the control of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan,” – the Foreign Ministry noted.
According to a crew member Taras Filippov, people are being held in cabins.
“People with fever are waiting for their turn. They are just sick, they are being given paracetamol. Now, more and more people are beginning to show symptoms. It was not that noticable before, but now it is, and there are Ukrainians among them,” – he said.
