Uzhgorod police detained serial thieves

The police found stolen batteries belonging to a mobile operator in a car Audi stopped for a check
On January 4, on the highway near Uzhgorod, police officers of the Uzhgorod district department, having the relevant information, stopped a car Audi for a check. Inside the car, there were two residents of the city of Uzhgorod, 38 and 39 years old, one of whom has been previously convicted.
While inspecting the car, law enforcement officers found and seized six batteries. As it turned out, those persons had stolen them from the territory of the base station of one of the mobile operators, which is located in the village of Serednye in Uzhgorod district.
The police initiated criminal proceedings under part 3 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Theft combined with breaking and entering). Both men were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine and taken into custody.
The detainees are suspected of four more similar thefts. The case is under investigation, – the communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police informs.
