This was reported by the former head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal this on Facebook:
"If the "servants of the people" are so concerned about the counteraction to misinformation that they threaten media outlets with fines for spreading "fakes", then maybe they should first deal with fakes disseminated by members of their own faction?
For example, on January 30, the People’s Deputy from the "Servant" Oleksandr Dubinsky posted on his Facebook page untrue information about US businessmen Alex Rovt and Imre Pak. In his post, among other things, he claims that Messrs. Rovt and Pak corrupted Yulia Tymoshenko in the 1990s, and are now doing something illegal again.
So, I inform Mr. Dubinsky personally: in 2018, the Budapest court found this information concerning the alleged corruption actions of Alex Rovt and Imre Pak untrue (this decision was subsequently confirmed by the Hungarian Supreme Court). And one Hungarian journalist, Nagy Marton, was sentenced to public service for distributing untrue information about Rovt and Pak.
As for our situation, I also inform you: New York resident Alex Rovt has filed a lawsuit to defend the honor, dignity and business reputation, as well as to refute false information about him disseminated by Mr. Dubinsky. I will be providing legal support in court together with a group of attorneys – so I am waiting for the arguments of the respected "servant" in court, and not in Facebook."
