Transfusion station in Uzhgorod needs donors with group 2 blood

Transcarpathian regional blood transfusion station informs about an acute need for donors with the 2nd group negative Rh factor blood.

“Dear donors! We draw your attention to the risk of incomplete blood taking during blood donation: there is a preservative in the hemacone (blood bag) that preserves blood for 30-40 days. The ratio of blood to preservative is a decisive factor in the value of blood: when you donate 300-400ml instead of 450ml, the blood is considered diluted and not used for transfusion. Physiological dose of blood donations is 450 ml!!!", – the statement of the station reads.
