Uzhgorod citizens will be receiving emergency notifications

Uzhgorod citizens and guests will be receiving SMS notifications in case of emergencies, natural disasters, drills, etc.
The memorandum of cooperation on the notification of the residents of Uzhgorod and the guests of the city about the threat or occurrence of emergencies was signed today, January 27, by the Mayor of Uzhgorod Bohdan Andriyiv and the Deputy Director General of Vodafone Ukraine Olena Kotelnikova, the press service of Uzhgorod city ​​council informed.
According to the Memorandum, Uzhgorod residents and guests of our city will be receiving SMS messages in case of emergencies, natural disasters, drills and more.
The first such project in Ukraine starts from Uzhgorod, the westernmost regional center.
The head of the Uzhgorod city and district department of the Rescue Service of Ukraine Vitaliy Ilnytsky noted that such notification would be very useful for the employees of the service as an additional way to notify the population, it would allow specialists to effectively do their job, save time, interact with various services and the population.
