This is due to the fact that scanners were put into operation at the checkpoint.
"Today (January 13), a scanner for freight vehicles was put into oeration at the checkpoint Yahodyn-Dorohusk on the border with Poland. This should eradicate corruption at the customs office. The scanning takes place without human input – therefore the time for cargo inspection is reduced. For example, at the checkpoint "Chop", the cargo inspection time was reduced to 7 minutes from 3-4 hours," – the Prime Minister Honcharuk said on his Facebook page.
The government officials are also convinced that the customs scanner will ensure a significant increase in the state budget revenues.
