Today, on the eve of Christmas, well-known mini-sculptures of Uzhgorod put on nice clothes again. Every year, two Uzhgorod mistresses, Irina Lukashenko and Oksana Vasilyan, make bright and unique ponchos, hunyas, hats, etc. for these beloved attractions of our city.
– It is very interesting, because a unique culture, rituals, aura have formed around these mini-monuments, – the women told our correspondent. They have long been passionate about creating beautiful handmade products in the patchwork technique, and a few years ago decided to combine their hobby with sculpture decoration. This immediately attracted the attention of Uzhgorod citizens, the feedback was positive and enthusiastic, and so the initiative became traditional.
We are grateful to the authors of the decorations for inviting us to be present at the sculpture dressing up, which allowed us to make a little photo story.
It is a pity that not all Uzhgorodians are ready to be civilized residents of their hometown. Thus, among other sculptures, Ferenc Liszt on Zhupanatska Street also received clothes today, but this beauty lasted no more than an hour. The clothes were just stolen…
