Mukachevo Hospital provides balanced and individually tailored nutrition for patients

The menu now features white chicken meat, low-fat pork, beef, fish, vegetables, cereals, cheese, boiled egg, kefir, tea with lemon, coffee with milk, cocoa, and for pregnant women and new mothers – butter every day.

And this, according to Mukachevo City Council, is just some of the food provided to patients in Mukachevo Central District Hospital.

Patients get meat every day and fish every Wednesday and Friday.

Meals are selected according to the illness and needs of patients, nutrition is varied, balanced and is provided in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

The food is not made by the hospital, but by a catering company – Natalia Garsevanishvili, the director of the Mukachevo Central District Hospital, says.

The patients receive meals three times a day, and for the pregnant women and new mothers in the maternity ward, as well as war veterans, participants of the anti-terrorist operation and liquidators of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster – 4 times.

On average, the hospital feeds about 300 patients a day. The cost of meals per person is 39.97 UAH. Patients say that they are satisfied with the food, because the food they have in the hospital is not only beneficial but also very tasty.
