According to the communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police, in Uzhgorod, law enforcement officers quickly found the persons involved in a theft
On Stantsiyna Street in the regional center, a group of people stole a purse with money and bank cards from the pocket of an Uzhgorod resident. The police found them. The investigation has begun.
The theft was reported to the police on December 7 at 6pm.
“A resident of Uzhgorod reported that unknown persons had stolen a purse with money and bank cards from his jacket pocket. After that, the group of people got into the car and drove away.
Thanks to the joint actions by officers of the investigative group, the Patrol Police and the Special Purpose Police Company, the theft was solved within an hour. Law enforcement officers found the vehicle. There were five Uzhgorod residents, aged 22-36 years, including two women, in the car,” – the police informed.
Those people were taken to the police station. Uzhgorod police department opened an investigation into the theft. The criminal proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft committed by a group of persons). The money was seized.
