Hungary helps not only Transcarpathians (PHOTOS)

A youth center was erected in the village of Tukholka in Lviv region.

Hungary helps not only the Transcarpathians, but also the Galicians. The efforts and aspirations of the Hungarian Government, the village of Fenyeslitke and the village of Tukholka were concentrated in one place. Now in this mountainous corner of Lviv region there is a newly created Greek Catholic deanery and youth center. The Hungarian government allocated HUF 17 million for its construction. The leadership of the town of Fenyeslitke, which is the twin city of Tukholka, and others also contributed.

The deanery and youth center is not the first project that Hungary has implemented in Lviv district. Thanks to the support of the Hungarian Government in 2016, they built a stone grotto-chapel in Tukholka and arranged the Cross Road to the church.

The opening of the center was attended, in particular, by Istvan Igyarto, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Ukraine. "This is a special day, because we are going to open the Greek Catholic youth center in Tukholka, established with the support of the Hungarian Government. I want to dispel some myths… Hungary is helping not only in the territory of Transcarpathia, and not only the Hungarians, but also is trying to help Ukraine in other regions," – Istvan Igyarto said.

The youth center will serve as a venue for meetings, catechetical classes, movie screenings, and even reception of tourists. And most importantly, it will be a modern space for youth spiritual growth.
