Road accident in Transcarpathia: children were injured, a man is in the ICU (PHOTOS)

Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of a car accident. The preliminary legal classification is violation of traffic safety rules with victims 
 
According to the Official site of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region, today, November 17, at about 7:00, the police received a report about an accident with victims in the village of Verkhni Vorota, Volovets district. 
At the scene, the investigative team found out that a 40-year-old driver of a car Opel, resident of Lviv region, while driving on the right side of the road, had failed to take into account the situation on the road and collided with a parked MERCEDES Sprinter. 
“As a result of the impact, a resident of Mizhhirya district, who was behind the parked car, was injured. The 41-year-old victim was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the local hospital. Six passengers of the Opel, including four children between the ages of 7 and 15, were also taken to the local health facility. Their lives are not in danger,” – the communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police informs. 
The driver who committed the crash was tested. According to doctors, the man was sober. 
The police are establishing all the circumstances of the car accident. The preliminary legal classification is Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules with victims).
