Uzhgorod City Council once again failed to solve the issue of e-ticket introduction

– Today at the meeting of the executive committee, they once again tried to launch the introduction of electronic ticket. But as it turned out, even a year after the tender, the City Council officials responsible for the draft decision and Privatbank representatives could not answer the key questions: what is the cost of the equipment (validators, terminals), what are their technical characteristics, how many controllers are required, how is the fiscalization of payment transactions carried out.

In fact, no essential question was answered. Uzhgorod residents would have to pay UAH 500 thousand per month for this "pig in a poke". It turns out that the City Council for a year was negotiating only the operator’s profit.

The issue was put on hold. Uzhgorod citizens can and have the right to know what they are going to pay the money for when using public transport.
