In Transcarpathia, horses help foresters to transport timber

This was informed by the Depo.Zakarpattya with reference to the press service of Transcarpathian Regional Forestry and Hunting Range Administration.
In Transcarpathia, the foresters of the Brustury forestry also follow the forest husbandry traditions of ancestors and use horses for timber transportation.
Turbat forestry is spread at an altitude of more than 1000 meters on the border of the Transcarpathian and Ivano-Frankivsk regions (total area of 7542 ha). Foresters are mainly engaged in forest protection and reforestation. Much attention is also paid to the development of forest tourism: they develop tourist routes and mark them in accordance with European standards, arrange campsites, even use horses raised on their own farms for this purpose.
