3037 baby boxes have been issued to new mothers in Uzhgorod since the beginning of this year

Since the beginning of this year, 3037 baby packs, or as they are also called “baby boxes”, have been issued to new mothers in the Uzhgorod city maternity hospital.
During 9 months, another 22 such packs of government aid were issued through the Department of Labor and Social Welfare of Uzhgorod City Council – to those women who had not taken them in the hospital.
According to the Uzhgorod City Council, since the introduction of this initiative of the Ukrainian government in the autumn of last year, the "baby pack" has been expanded twice; in September 2019, they added a demi-season onesie, multifunctional development mat and hygiene products, the value of the expanded pack increased to 4325 UAH.
