A foreigner was injured at night as a result of unlawful by several Transcarpathians.
According to the Communication Department of the Transcarpathian regional police, on October 27, police received from a doctor a report about hospitalization of a 28-year-old foreigner with bodily injuries. The man was taken to the intensive care unit.
“On October 27, at about 3:20 am, a 41-year-old resident of Uzhgorod conspired with three other men to commit a robbery of a 28-year-old foreigner. The men intended to seize the man’s personal property. Hiding their faces under masks, the men approached a car VAZ-2103, which the victim was in, along with a 22-year-old taxi driver and a 29-year-old foreigner. The 41-year-old Uzhgorod resident began to demand money from the foreigner, after which, threatening with physical violence, he dragged him out the car and started hitting him a baseball bat. He then took the man’s documents, money and a cellphone,” – the report reads.
The police opened investigation under Article 187 (4) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, ie
Robbery committed by a group of people with infliction of grievous bodily harm.
It is also reported that the 41-year-old Uzhgorod resident has been notified of being suspected. The choice of pre-trial restraint against the suspect is being decided. The police are establishing the role of other persons involved in the incident.
