Young judoists from Uzhgorod won 8 medals

On October 19, the first open international boys and girls judo tournament took place in the Slovak town of Poprad. The competitions were held in 5 age groups: U9 (2011-2012), U11 (2009-2010), U13 (2007-2008), U15 (2005-2006), U18 (2002-2004). 
450 young judoists from Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and Ukraine participated in the tournament. Ukraine was represented by one team from the city of Uzhgorod. 11 judoists of Uzhgorod Children and Youth Sports School №1 under the guidance of senior coach Kaminsky VA brought home 8 medals of different grades: 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze.

Mikhonyuk Stepan – 27 kg, U11
Platitsyn Yevhen – 50 kg, U13
Shtefanyak Yulia – 52 kg, U15
Bronze medalists:
Kaminsky Daniyil – 27 kg, U11
Kapushinsky Maxim – 27 kg, U9
Shtefanyak Artem – 38 kg, U15

Shushka Stas ranked the fifth; Budyukh Igor and Telnov Yuri finished seventh.
