Yesterday evening, when the vehicular traffic was less heavy, they started applying horizontal road marking in Uzhgorod on Druzhba Narodiv, Bogdan Khmelnitsky squares, Mytna street and Svoboda avenue. The work continued until it started raining at night, so not all works were completed.
The application of road marking is being carried out by the "Dorservis Ukraine" LLC following the results of the open bidding announced by the Uzhgorod City Council department on July 9 this year. However, the commncement of the work was delayed because one of the business entities’ complaints was reviewed and procurement was monitored by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
Now the special equipment has already arrived in Uzhgorod, the stripes are made using paint with light-reflective balls, 15 cm wide. During the weekend, they plan to apply marking on these junctions in the city center, and later on other junctions, the streets with the heaviest traffic, and public transport routes. Another crew will mark crosswalks.
