Today, on September 23, 2019, an IVECO truck with Serbian registration entered the customs control area of the "Nevetlenfolu" checkpoint of the Transcarpathian Customs. A citizen of Serbia, carrying synthetic rubber from Russia, planned to cross the border with Romania.
However, customs officers considered the risks and sent the car to the box for in-depth inspection.
As a result of the inspection, customs officers together with border guards found hookah mixture in amount of 51 packages of 1 kg each. The concealed mixture was in the driver’s cab under the lining.
Thus, the foreigner tried to move goods from the customs border of Ukraine hiding them from customs control. These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Based on Art. 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, the report on violation of customs rules was made.
