During spawning in Transcarpathia, poachers are "blasting" fish with explosives.
The video was posted on the social network Facebook by Roman Kelemen.
“Another video of a group of people just blasting fish on a mountain river during spawning. The explosion is quite powerful,” – the caption to the video reads.
Spawning is the process of laying eggs by females with their subsequent fertilization by males in primary aquatic vertebrates – fish and amphibians. It usually occurs in certain places (spawning grounds). Some fish during spawning travel from the sea to the rivers (salmon, sturgeon) or from the rivers to the sea (freshwater eel).
