Songs of Vertinsky will be peroformed today in the Puppet Theater in the musical one-woman show “Yellow Angel”

The second international festival of one-person shows "Monologues over the Uzh" will start today in Uzhgorod and will last from September 17 to 22. The organizers are Uzhgorod City Council, the newspaper "Nedilya. Zakarpatski Novyny" with the support of the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Transcarpathian Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater, Transcarpathian Academic Regional Puppet Theater "Bavka". 

Recall that the festival will begin on Tuesday, September 17, on the theatrical stage of Uzhgorod College of Culture and Arts with the one-man show "Yellow Face", based on the story by Arthur Conan Doyle, the beginning is at 4.30 pm!

Also, on the first day of the festival, theater fans are invited to the regional puppet theater "Bavka" for the musical one-woman show "Yellow Angel" by Irina Megvinetukhutsesi from the State Academic Drama Theater named after I.V. Griboyedov (Tbilisi, Georgia).

Writer, director and set designer is Avtandil Varsimashvili. As it is noted in the announcement, the play has no direct references to the famous singer Alexander Vertinsky, but the author accurately conveys the inner world of his creativity, pain and tragedy, his subtle nature.

Vertinsky’s songs are the "protagonists" of the play about Fate and Love, a work that has won many international awards.

The beginning is at 19.00.
