A Transcarpathian accidentally shot his fellow villager in the forest

The 58-year-old Transcarpathian from the village of Rakosh has already been notified of being suspected and is to be taken into custody.

According to the Main Office of the National Police of Transcarpathia, yesterday, on August 19, law enforcement officers received a report from a man, who said that while hunting in a forest near the village, he had accidentally shot his fellow villager.

The 39-year-old man died from his injuries.

An investigative team arrived to find out that the men were hunting illegally. Moreover, their rifles were not registered and they had no hunting permits.

A proceeding under Part 1 of Article 119 of the CCU, ie negligent homicide, was opened. As well as under Part 1 of Article 248 of the Criminal Code, ie illegal hunting.
