Smugglers in Mukachevo

Today, around 1 am, border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment prevented another attempt of tobacco smuggling. While patrolling, border guards of the department "Luzhanka" noticed two unidentified persons with packages.
In order to prevent violation of the border, the border guards immediately started pursuing the intruders, during which they made two warning shots. Despite the legal demands of border guards to stop, the smugglers fled.
During the inspection of the area, the border guards found six packages, which contained three thousand packs of cigarettes. The tobacco products were delivered to the department "Luzhanka". Measures to identify the persons involved in the illegal activities are being taken, – the press service of the Mukachevo border guard detachment informed.
