Transcarpathian owners of cars with foreign registration may lose their driving license

As is already known, starting from August 24, owners of uncleared cars will be fined. The amount will depend on how long the vehicle has been in the territory of Ukraine.

“The driver of an uncleared car will have to pay a fine of UAH 8,500. If he is stopped again, the amount will be doubled – up to UAH 17,000. Besides, the driver’s license will be revoked for one year”, – 31-year-old Vladislav Pogorilov, a representative of the Auto Euro Force of Zaporizhzhia region says.

If the uncleared car has been on the territory of Ukraine for 10 to 20 days, its owner faces a fine of UAH 17 thousand. 21 to 30 days – the amount will increase to UAH 85 thousand. For more than a month, the owner can be fined UAH 170 thousand or the car can be confiscated.

The fines are applied to both personal and commercial vehicles. If the owner transfers the temporarily imported car to another person or uses it for commercial activities, he or she will be fined UAH 34 thousand.
