This was reported in social networks by the group Save Uzhhorod:
"During the unauthorized construction work in the historical area of Uzhgorod, an unknown underground passages was found. The earthwork at the site of the cultural heritage is being carried out without proper permission and prior archaeological examination. Please, take appropriate action."
As it turned out, it is about 60 square meters of brick passages: "Here is a comment by Kostyantin Kutsov, the leading inspector of the Cultural Heritage Protection Division of the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration who arrived at the scene:
"A basement in the form of a vault. About 60 square meters. Stone, but with some brick sections. I’m waiting for an archaeologist."
