Useful information for Transcarpathians planning to go to the Balaton

According to the site Elvira.hu of the Hungarian railway company, from June 15, additional trains are running from Zahony to the Balaton.

To the North Coast. Several high-speed trains are running from Zahony and Tapolca with stops at major resorts on the northern shore of Balaton. Besides the main ticket, an additional ticket for a high-speed train is required. Trains have spaces for bicycles of a large capacity.

To the South Coast. The Golden Beach Express runs every day from Zahony to Balatonszentgyörgy. The train includes InterCity cars with air-conditioners, which require additional tickets. There are also large spaces for bicycle on the train.
