The Central Election Commission has registered five candidates from the party "United Center" for the elections to the Verkhovna Rada, who will run in various majoritarian constituencies.
Three of the five are brothers Victor, Ivan and Pavlo Balohas. In 2014, they also ran to the Rada and won in their constituencies. However, then they ran as independent.
The registration of the the candidates by the CEC on June 7 was announced by the "Opora" public movement on their Facebook page.
In the single-mandate constituencies of Transcarpathian region, the CEC registered from the “United Center” Mykhailo Fedynets in the 68th constituency, Victor Baloha in the 69th constituency, Ivan Baloha in the 70th constituency, Pavlo Baloha in the 73rd constituency and Vasyl Yovdiy in the 72nd constituency. These candidates were nominated on May 30 by the congress of the political party.
Extraordinary elections to the parliament will be held, according to the decree of President Zelensky, on July 21, 2019.
