Lviv artist Mykola Stus for the first time in Transcarpathia will present portraits and other drawings on skin made using a unique author’s technique.
The opening of the exhibition "Light in you" will take place on June 5 at 16:00 in the exhibition hall of the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life. The author will present canvases sewn from pieces of leather with special paints, producing the effect of extraordinary volume and depth.
Most of the works that will be presented in Uzhgorod are portraits of "iconic" people of Ukraine and the world: Skryabin (Andriy Kuzmenko), Vasyl Stus, Serhiy Nigoyan, Salvador Dali, Taras Shevchenko, Bogdan Stupka, Vasyl Slipak, Lina Kostenko, John-Paul II, John Lennon et al. These are people whose lives encourage us to think about values, the canvases motivate the attentive audience to find light in themselves and carry it around the world.
