A dangerous terrorist was detained near the borders of Transcarpathia

On Friday, March 22, in the city of Nyirbator (a few kilometers from Transcarpathia), officers of the Hungarian Anti-Terrorism Center (TEK) detained a Syrian, who was a member of the ISIS and for three years participated in the executions of people, the Budapest prosecutor said. This was reported by the Hungarian news site szon.hu

The prosecutor told the press that on December 30, 2018, the 27-year-old man and his companion crossed the EU border as refugees at the Ferenc Liszt airport.

Representatives of EUROJUST in Hungary and Belgium, the Belgian judiciary, the Anti-Terrorism Center, the Immigration Office and the Budapest Prosecutor’s Office came to the conclusion that the Syrian citizen has been a member of the international terrorist organization ISIS since 2016.

According to the investigators, in 2016, in the city of Homs, Syria, about 20 members of a local resident’s family were executed because they refused to join the terrorist organization. There are serious substantiated suspicions that he personally participated in the executions.
