Like the previous works of the band, the new song has a serious social meaning. In the lyrics, the musicians raised the issue of selling human freedom, which, on the eve of the elections in Ukraine, is a very topical issue.
"Usually, when someone speaks of freedom, they think only about personal one. It is equated with the concepts of self-interest and profit, so it is not surprising that a person can easily sacrifice freedom of others for their own interests. Freedom is a responsibility, and not everyone is able to use it properly. It’s much easier to give it to someone above in return of the promise of a good life, – the vocalist and songwriter Hennadiy Donetsky says. – Yesterday we were dying for freedom, and today we elect scammers as our leaders again. Not for any higher purpose, but simply because it is more convenient."
