On March 21, on the International Day of the Puppeteer, the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Puppet Theater invites you to the presentation of the book "Puppet Transcarpathia. "INTERLYALKA" in the festival movement of the European theater space".
The album book is the first attempt to generalize the more than 25-year-long history of the unique festival. "Since 1990, sixteen festivals have been held. Fifteen of them were held under the diligent leadership of its initiator, organizer and permanent director – Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, Honorary Member of the International Association of Puppeteers UNIMA, Honorary Citizen of Uzhgorod Oleksandr Turyanytsya (1931-2016), to whom this publication is dedicated, – the annotation reads. – The relevance of the album book is based also on the need to preserve the archival data, especially those of the 1990s, some of which, unfortunately, is irreversibly lost."
The eye-catching and informative publication, consisting of essays, memoirs, documentary statements and numerous photos immortalizing the unique atmosphere of each of the festivals, was published at the Uzhgorod Publishing House "RIK-U" with the assistance of the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
Also, on Sunday, March 24, a premiere performance "Cossak Mamaryha" will take place, which will also be announced during the presentation of the publication.
The beginning is at 12.00, – the organizers announce.
