The implementation of the grant project “Children’s Days in Uzhgorod Skansen” is starting in Uzhgorod

The project will be implemented with the support of the Culture Bridges program funded by the European Union and being implemented by the British Council in Ukraine in partnership with EUNIC – the EU National Institutes of Culture Network.

The project is aimed at children and provides for the establishment of the School of Young Your Guides in the Museum, preparation and publication of a children’s guide "Crafts and Arts of Transcarpathia", development and printing of booklets with a quest route for 3 age categories of children, which will make a visit to the museum a sort of a game with the search for the most interesting exhibits.  This project will allow children to learn about the architecture, life and traditions of Transcarpathia through education and an interesting game.

The final stage of the project will be "children’s" days in the museum, when children have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in the School of Young Tour Guides and conduct their tours for children and adults. All participants in the "School of Young Tour Guides" will be awarded with diplomas and prizes. Also, during three days, all interested persons will be able to take part in the master classes for the International Children’s Day (pottery, tableware painting, making of eco-bags and toys) that will take place on the territory of the museum.

Project partner – NGO "Happy Children".

Watch out for our announcements; we will soon announce enrollment to the first "School of Young Tour Guides".
