Uzhgorod masters presented reproductions of authentic embroidered shirts from the museum (PHOTOS)

Two years ago, journalist Tetyana Kohutych invited enthusiasts to learn embroidery. The embroidery studio was called "Kosytsia". The participants of the courses not only learned cross-stitching, but also mastered different styles of embroidery, and later the museum provided several old authentic embroidered shirts from different districts of Transcarpathia and each studio member chose one shirt for themselves and had to create the most accurate reproductions of those shirts.

The work took a long time, because the members of the studio had to adhere to the authentic embroidery techniques.

And today, six studio members finally presented their works.

Galina Munchak, Tetyana Zavodyak, Inna Hoys, Oksana Volos, Natalia Bartosevich and Victoria Spivak created wonderful replicas of shirts from different districts of Transcarpathia.   The shirts were accurate copies of the authentic ones.

The studio members themselves say that this is not a simple cross-stitching and not the fake embroidery that is sold in stores. These are real works of art. This campaign is an attempt to preserve the traditional Transcarpathian embroidery.
