Young pianists will be competing in Uzhgorod at the 1st Open Marianna Valkovska Young Pianists Competition (ANNOUNCEMENT)

  On February 8, 2019, with the support of the Department of Culture, Sport, Family and Youth of Uzhgorod City Council, the first M Valkovska Open Young Pianists Competition will be held in the Uzhgorod Pyotr Tchaikovsky Children’s Music School No 1. 

The competition will take place in two age categories: 8-9 years old and 10-11 years old. Students will be judged by Marianna Valkovaska former students, the chair of the jury is Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, the chair of the cycle commission of the Uzhgorod Musical College Marianna Sokach, the jury members are senior teachers of Uzhgorod Musical College Tetyana Zhurki, Natalia Shutko and Olena Turyanytsia, as well as teacher of the Kosice Conservatory (Slovakia) Viola Samborska.

The rules of the competition, which will be held on February 8:
 10.30 – opening and drawing for the participants of the 1st age category (8-9 years old);
 11.00-13.00 – competitive performances of the 1st age category;

13.30 – drawing for the participants of the 2nd age category (10-11 years old);
 14.00 – the beginning of competitive performances of the 2nd age category;
 15.30 – technical break (15 min.);
 18.00 – solemn closing and awarding of the winners.
