Starting from January 15, Transcarpathians will pay more for the Ukrzaliznytsya services

On January 15, 2019, Ukrzaliznytsya introduced new prices for some services offered to passengers, including use of a bed linen set in the train, tea, coffee and drinking water.

In particular, a set of bed linen in sleeping cars and in international trains now costs 60 UAH (including VAT), in compartment and couchette cars – 50 UAH (including VAT). Before the rise, the price of use of a set of bed linen was 30 UAH.

The price of tea, coffee, or a 0.5 liter bottle of water now will be 10 UAH.

The UZ claims that they were forced to review the prices due to increase in the cost of materials, fuel, and electricity affecting the cost of services.

They also noted that the price of bed linen is still lower than in other countries.
