Together with all of Ukraine: Uzhgorod took part in the Christmas campaign (PHOTOS)

Today, Uzhgorod took part in the All-Ukrainian Christmas campaign "New Joy".

At 14.30, the carol under the same name was performed simultaneously in different cities of Ukraine, as well as abroad. In particular, according to the organizers, this year, the campaign covered 30 Ukrainian cities and villages, as well as five countries – Britain, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland and Germany.

Uzhgorod citizens and guests of the city on Narodna Square were able to join, support the festive mood, and together with the folk amateur choir "Astra" of the Uzhgorod Children’s Art School sang "New Joy", wished all Ukraine happiness and peace in the new year. Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv also took part in the Christmas event.

Recall that the all-Ukrainian action of concurrent singing was initiated 3 years ago by the organizers of the All-Ukrainian festival of Nativity plays "Vertep-Fest", which takes place in Kharkiv on the eve of the Old New Year.

The choir "Astra" also performed other carols, and the spectators even danced near the stage.
