“Avalanche situation in the Ukrainian Carpathians” warns of the risk areas in the mountains

Significant avalanche hazard (level 3) due to snowfall and blizzards is expected on:
January 13-14 – in the mountains of Transcarpathian region 
January 14 – in the mountains of Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions!
In the mountainous districts of the central and eastern part of Transcarpathian region, there is a danger of snow slides on the roads!

Moderate avalanche hazard (level 2) remains on:
January 11-12 – in the Carpathians 
January 13 – in the mountains of Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Chernivtsi regions
January 14 – in the mountains of Chernivtsi region
