Days of Hungarian culture in Transcarpathia

Center for the Support of Hungarian Culture in Transcarpathia and the Society of Hungarian Intelligentsia of Transcarpathia invite to the Days of Hungarian Culture, which will take place from January 22 to January 24, 2019 in different cities of Transcarpathia.

January 22, 2019

• Laying wreaths to the memorial plaque of Ferenc Kolcsey – the author of the lyrics for the national anthem of Hungary, written 196 years ago. Venue: the city of Beregovo, Ferenc II Rakoczi Square (post office building). Beginning: 11.00 .

– "The Forum of the Hungarian Intellectuals 2019" dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Center for Supporting the Hungarian Culture of Transcarpathia. Presentation of awards to the artists of the region. Literary and musical program, opening of the exhibition. Venue: Hungarian House "Europe", the city of Beregovo, Szecsenyi st., 59 B. Beginning: 12.30.

• Laying wreaths to  the monument of Ilona Zrinyi and young Ferenc II Rakoczi on the occasion of the beginning of the Rakoczi Commemoration Year in the Carpathian Basin. Venue: the city of Mukachevo, bastion of the upper castle "Palanok". Beginning: 16.00.

January 23, 2019

• XXth Contest of Reciting of the Hungarian National Anthem. Venue: school No. 10, the city of Uzhgorod, Pravoslavna embankment, 24. Beginning: 12.00.
• The opening of the mini-sculpture of Ferenc Kolcsey (author M. Kolodko) with the support of the Consulate General of Hungary in the city of Uzhgorod. Venue: the city of Uzhgorod, Mukachivska st., 54 (Uzhgorod Hungarian House). Beginning: 14.00.

January 24, 2019
