Christmas candlesticks from glass waste: “Ecosphere” invites to the master class (ANNOUNCEMENT)

NGO "Ecosphere" offers a new approach to used things.

– How to teach children to reduce the amount of waste? How to motivate them not to buy unnecessary things when they want something new? How to indulge yourself and your family with gifts without buying a new thing?

We decided to show children the other side of waste, to teach them to see waste as not useless stuff, but as a material for new art product. This approach to used things develops imagination and creativity, keeps from new and unnecessary purchases. Sends garbage to an art studio, not to a dump.

At the first master class, we made a textile New Year toy, thus encouraging to refrain from new purchases. At this master class, we will teach the participants to create Christmas candlesticks from unwanted glassware using the stained glass technique. There will be many more interesting workshops where you will be able to spend time productively and find new friends. But the most important thing is to understand that we buy a lot of things that we really do not need. And we produce a lot of waste, but we can change our habits.

If you want to learn how to make candlesticks in the stained glass technique from unwanted glassware, come on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 to the Transcarpathian Regional Library.
