The National Agency for the Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption has decided to conduct a full review of the electronic declaration of the Deputy of Uzhgorod City Council Ivan Voloshin for 2017. The corresponding draft decision was published on the site of the NACC, the UNN reported.
Yesterday, former partner of the deputy, businessman and politician Robert Brovdi in his public statement accused Voloshin of corruption acts, "direct sabotage" of investment projects in Uzhgorod and embezzlement.
The grounds for the NACC’s decision to conduct inspection was the failure by Voloshin to specify the information on expenditures incurred in his declaration for 2017.
In addition, the NACC assumes that the deputy of the city council gave false information in his declaration.
Data from Voloshin’s electronic declaration for 2017 indicate that during a year the MP bought 16 apartments in Uzhgorod. It is noteworthy that he purchased the apartments at very low prices. For example, for a 86.8 square meters apartment in Uzhgorod Voloshin paid only UAH 42 thousand, for a 27 square meters apartment (Uzhgorod) – UAH 17.9 thousand. The apartment with an area of 153.7 square meters cost the deputy only UAH 49.7 thousand.
Meanwhile, according to the site olx.ua, an apartment in Uzhgorod with an area of 80 square meters can not be cheaper than UAH 1 million 200 thousand.
In general, according to the deputy’s declaration, Voloshin and his family own 22 apartments (total area is almost 2 thousand square meters), one garage (26.9 square meters), one plot of land (925 square meters) and a part of the building with an area of 171.1 square meters. In addition, the deputy and his family own five cars. Also Voloshin owns corporate rights in 7 enterprises, and is the ultimate beneficial owner of 14 firms.
Recall that according to the media, in 2016, at the construction of the hotel and restaurant complex "Korona", the deputy of the city council Voloshin shot at a public figure Rakhimov and the deputy of the city council Boguslavsky. In particular, according to the "Zakarpattya Online", Voloshin made several shots in response to a request to show permission documents for work at the "Korona" in Uzhgorod.
A criminal proceeding into the shooting was opened under Part 4 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
