Winter is approaching Transcarpathia – on the night of January 2, there will be up to 30 cm of snow

Road services are instructed to take all efforts to clear the roads

On Wednesday night (2.01), temperature in Transcarpathia will drop significantly, in the most of the region, there will be heavy snowfalls. In the highlands, blizzards and snowstorms are expected, ice cover on the roads. In lowland areas (especially the western part of Transcarpathia), up to 15 centimeters of snow will fall overnight, and in the mountains – up to 30 centimeters of snow.

– Due to the deterioration of weather conditions, road services are instructed to take all efforts to clear the roads, – Hennadiy Moskal said. – Particular attention should be paid to the four passes on the administrative border of Transcarpathia. All vehicular traffic from the neighboring Lviv region and Ivano-Frankivsk region goes through them.
