The first Transcarpathian parish joined the Orthodox Church of Ukraine

The parish of St. Martyr archdeacon Stephen in the village of Mynai joined the Transcarpathian diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

On December 21, 2018, the parish Archpriest Stepan Bilyak appealed to the Bishop of Uzhgorod and Transcarpathia Barsanuphius with a written request to include him into the clergy of the Transcarpathian diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

Previously, this religious community was a part of the Mukachevo diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine (the so-called "Mukachevo Orthodox diocese"), – the official site of the Transcarpathian diocese informs.
