Law enforcers have opened a criminal proceeding over blocking of the roads in Transcarpathian region, the communications department of the Transcarpathian regional police informed.
"A criminal proceeding was opened over blocking of the road in Uzhgorod under Article 279 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (blocking of transport communications)", – the police reported
In addition, the police added that currently there is a complete blocking of the road by citizens in Maly Berezny (checkpoint), partial – in Uzhgorod and Chop (checkpoint).
"The actions of the persons who impede free movement of vehicles are subject to Article 279 of the CCU, and therefore the police, within the limits of their authority, are carrying out the necessary investigation in order to record this situation. We have warned everyone that investigation will be conducted, photo, video recording will be carried out", – the head of Uzhgorod police department Vitaliy Matsola said.
